Help For Those Affected by Devastating Tornadoes

Polkville VFD is partnering with Casar VFD to collect toys for the Children that were affected by the Kentucky tornadoes.  If you are interested in helping we have a drop off location at our station.  We will be collecting toys or monetary donations.  If you need to contact someone to arrange for drop off you can call Todd McMurry-704-477-7144 or Josh Queen 704-472-4562.  We will be collecting items until Friday afternoon.  The Firemen will be delivering them on Sunday.  Thanks.

Here are also three ways you can help now:

  • NC Baptists, Baptists on Mission, who are early responders, are sending teams to Bowling Green, KY. More information can be found here: https://baptistsonmission.org/Mission-Projects/By-Mission-Type/Disaster-Relief/Kentucky-Tornadoes
  • CBF Disaster Response is not a first responder but will seek to be a long-term presence in underserved communities. For now, the best way to help is to make contributions to CBF Kentucky Disaster Response. These funds will provide flexibility in our response. Find more information and give online here: http://cbfky.org/tornado-disaster-response
  • CBF Kentucky is putting together an email list of those who are interested in being a part of our volunteer effort. If you or your church would like to be informed and possibly participate, please send an email to: office@cbfky.org.
