then it presses on to the place where it rises.

The Unceasing Desert Wind

It rocked my truck and camper with its strength
It whipped the flags at the visitor centers
It made a whistling sound through the canyons
It invited the winter wheat to dance
It lashed loose paper against anything stationary
It moaned, as if in pain, between the rock formations
It powered the mighty sentries of wind turbines
It blew the clouds across an endless sky
It provided the swing for a rusty sign on a dirt road
It rolled the dried sage into a locomotion of tumbleweed, It was unceasing,
It was the ever present reminder of God

Prayer:
God of Rushing wind and whispering breeze, thank you for your Presence in
my life. Amen
