Haiti

Haiti is a beautiful country filled with beautiful people, but many suffer due to extreme poverty.  Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere, due to challenges of unemployment, lack of infrastructure such as power and water, and the high cost of housing and food.  In addition, Haiti has been affected by earthquakes and hurricanes that have left the country in desperate conditions.

Zion Church is blessed to be able to partner with Marc Brice and his ministry in Haiti.  Marc is a native Haitian who grew up and worked in Haiti many years.  He moved to the Shelby area and taught at one of the local middle schools for several years.  After the earthquake of2010, Marc felt called by God to move back to Haiti to help minister to the many people in need.  He founded Caribbean Christian Club, a non profit ministry, as a way for churches and individuals to partner with him in his missions and ministry.   Marc works with over seven churches, numerous schools, and an orphanage in the southern part of the country.

Zion has gone on numerous mission trips to help rebuild roofs and church buildings that were destroyed by Hurricane Matthew, work with the local churches, and minister to the children and orphans.  If you would like to help the people of Haiti there are numerous ways to get involved:
